About Me
Passionate, ambitious, and hard-working. Those are the three best terms to describe me. I am Caitlin Gemmi, a young communications and public relations professional. I graduated in May 2020 from Temple University's Klein College of Media and Communication with a degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations. I am a people person with a strong love of researching and writing, which formulated my talents in communication.

I grew up in Ambler, Pennsylvania, and always knew I wanted to call Philadelphia my home one day. I became set on Temple University in my sophomore year of high school and I never looked back! My four years at Temple were absolutely incredible and I am appreciative for all the lessons I learned and the friends I made along the way.
I completed a diverse array of creative, challenging internships - including The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Philadelphia's cultural hub and premier performing arts venue; the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for the 2019 Philadelphia Flower Show, "Flower Power"; and Braithwaite Communications, a boutique public relations and marketing firm in Philadelphia.

While at Temple, I was an extremely active student. I became a member of Temple PRSSA during my freshman year and I am eternally grateful for the experiences, confidence, lessons and friendships I have gained through this wonderful organization. PRSSA allowed me to hone my interpersonal communication skills and taught me valuable life-lessons about leadership and friendship.

I also worked with PRowl Public Relations - Temple's first and only student-run public relations firm. Through PRowl, I gained agency experience and spearheaded a successful public relations campaign for #VoteThatJawn, a local voter-outreach initiative, and Heart-to-Heart, a nonprofit dedicated to helping incarcerated individuals find pathways to healing. Working with these incredible organizations helped me find my passion for community outreach, activism and non-profit work. In May 2019, I was awarded the Dapper for PRowl Member of the Year for my commitment and dedication to the firm.

In spring 2020, I was inducted into Temple University's chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the Honor Society of the National Communication Association.

On campus, I was also a member of the Singing Owls Community Choir, which allowed me to continue my passion for singing and performing.
In my downtime, you can find me reading a good book, delving into the Philadelphia theater scene, or reminiscing about my summer in Ireland.
