The Kimmel Center is Philadelphia's cultural hub and the city's premier performing arts venue. As an avid lover of theater, this internship and working with the Kimmel was an absolute dream come true. With the Kimmel, I assisted the marketing and communications team with various projects. My main tasks included writing blogs, press releases and media alerts on various topics and upcoming Kimmel Center programs and events. My blogs accumulate in 500 - 1,000+ views per post. My other tasks included media monitoring, press archiving and the writing and creation of the weekly internal newsletter. I also assisted with Kimmel Center events, including press nights for shows in the Broadway Philadelphia series such as "Mean Girls," "The Spongebob Musical," "The Band's Visit" and "Hello, Dolly!" Finally, I represented the Kimmel Center at on-site and external fairs, festivals and events, managing one-on-one guest interactions.
